    Rotax Oil Filter & O-ring

Anybody knows the specs of the OEM SD 4T oil filter (Model: 420956741):
    length, inside and outside diameters

I just realized I have never changed the O-ring on the oil filter can after 150h riding,
I change oil every 20h, and everytime the O-ring inside the can seemed intact, should I change it anyway, how often?

    Thanks

I don't change them every time (there are two o rings). I only changed them when I winterized this year because the dealer had a Seadoo oil change kit that came with the o rings.

Ours always looks great too. Ive changed them once in 80 hrs of riding.

Idk the diameters of them but here is the filter and one of the o rings. Seems the dont sell both of them for some reason??

it`s always a good idea to have a full set on hand, for that one time you need it and won`t have it and be rushing around looking for one. There are some places that the prices are not so bad...

Thanks all, so do i only need the 1 ring in the online-store, or the 2 rings in the OEM parts-searcher?
Shall i change them even if they are still intact in one piece? is there an hour-limit?
dealer never told me anything about that, never even mentionned it...

I changed them on the sportster last oil change they looked good but when i put them next to the new rings you could see they had streched out a bit. On the rxp im going to be changing them everytime and ill just keep a old set as a back-up just incase i need them. Ill be doing oil changes every 25hr's.

If you are going to change them I would change both. They both go on the filter cap. I agree about the stretching though, my new ones were obviously a tad smaller than the old ones. Just make sure you rub some oil on them so they don't get pinched when you push the cap on.

Personally I like to keep both of them on hand just in case.
