The Saints... Who's laughing now?
I was doing some closet cleaning last weekend and came across my 1981 Saints Joke Book. Some of the stats in the book: From 1967 to 1980 the Saints won 55, lost 142 and tied 5 games. Thats a 27% win rate... That was the Saints I grew up with. During that 14 year period the Saints had 7 diff. head coaches - a new head coach every 2 years. Yep, I rem. those days...
Here's one of my favorite passages...
On one occasion, the Cleveland Browns mistook the two-minute warning for the end of the game and completely left the field. The Saints put together their best drive of the game during this stretch, going 57 yards in 14 plays for their only score.

Born and raised in Lafayette, I love the Saints. But they've given up a lot of points in certain games this year, like last week. That worries me if they hit a really good team with a powerhouse offense in the playoffs. Keeping the fingers crossed....

Another (Black) and Golden Oldie from the Joke book...
After missing three straight short-range field goal attempts, number-one draft choice Saints place kicker Russell Erxleban became so despondent that he attempted suicide. However, he was saved when the bullet veered to the left and missed him completely.
