Mighty Mouse, 70mph, on a budget
ok, my original goal, 70mph gp800r on a budget of $1500.
some might think it's far fetched. but with enough wheeling and dealing and some super fuzzy math.. who knows!!!
so far i have a complete engine with a bad crank.. soon to be fixed.
currently focused on the pump.
currently have a 2000 gpr hull, holding on to it, till i find a gp800r hull cheap.
here is the hull.. with all decals stripped.
there are the pump towers.
the one on the left is the speed pump set up: 2 inch spacer, new liner, ho pump, 85mm pump, sho steering nozzle; a $1500 setup if everything was new! whew! the right side is the rough water pump setup.. as i ride in the ocean more often than not...
now.. need to focus on the engine...
more update to come...

i shall give it my best!

you never know unless you try. 70mph should be easy enough on a 800.

Let me know if/when you end up selling the 1200 hull... I'm kinda looking for one and you're fairly close.

No ski will ever go 70mph. The rxp hull isnt capable of 80mph. You can't fit and rxp engine in a XPL. The FZR is too big to be fast. No ski will EVER go 100. See a pattern. I'm sure you can do it. My only doubt is the $1500. But good luck. I have a 96 xp with a 4-tec about 60% done and no one thought that was possible.

if i may make a suggestion.... get with some GPR guys on here and find out where the speed is in these hulls.... as far as plate shimming, sponson, intake grate and prop set-up..... do that stuff and see what your max speed and money spent is. that should give you a fair approximation of how far off your speed goal you are and how far over or under budget you should be to hit your goal
personally i think it can be done but not on a 1500 budget.....

Sorry if it didnt come across, that was said with major sarcasm. I am basically saying for those who say you can't do it that all of these once impossible things have already been done so I am sure your project is definately possible. The only tough part sometimes is hitting the $$ goal.
and just to add, I may own two seadoos and a kawi, but I am a Yamaha guy
