This will be my Jet Ski Fishing First
The Three Amigo's Extreme Jet Ski Fishing Team ( I just made that up ) will be fishing in our first Striped Bass Tournament this weekend. The 1st Annual Sunset Boating Center Striper Tournament Hampton Virginia (757)722-3325. Local legend Don Lancaster is going to be the Weighmaster. I obviously fish from my Yamaha a lot and this sounded like a fun and affordable one to do at only $75. I convinced my brother John and friend Tommy to dust off thier rigged out skis and join me. I know there are a lot of big tournaments this weekend and the weather actually looks doable for Saturday so I expect it to be crazy in the Bay and coast. Don't cross my lines or I will wake you! LOL. So who else is in this weekend? Here are a couple pics of our rigged up skis.

This is freaking awesome.. You've almost just inspired me to buy a 4 seater and build a fishing rig outa it.. this is awesome!! keep up the good work.. I know fishin in the bay here and the barnegat inlet would be a ton of fun with these.. All i would have to do is rig a stereo setup and im good!

Have you lost a fishing rig yet.? Lost one while I was fishing off of my old GP. Fortunately the water was only about 18 inches (fishing for flounder).
I jumped off of the boat and drug my feet around in increasing sized rings around the boat till I found the line. It was about a 3-4 lb redfish that snatched it from me.
That is one beautiful set up you have.

So what happens should the ski flip over? Does the rigging make it harder to flip the ski right side up?

Thanks for the replies. We all have mustang survival suits. I have not added any extra tanks. The rigging would not make it harder to flip it is all aluminum and very stable.

That is super cool..have you caught a shark yet? I think that would be hairy...
I have fished off a ski and only caught some trash fish..I was hoping for a king or spanish mackeral or cobia. I had just a pole, some cigar minnows and just went. Your rigging is excellant.

No Sharks yet, so for my biggset is a 50 lb cobia. I have not lost any rods yet but a friend of mine has.

If you haven't tried it you are missing out
I used to troll the gulf of mexico way back in the early 90s on a Wave Runner 500. That was a lot of fun, but it looks like this has been taken to a whole new level. Everything looks great and well thought out....beats the heck out of paying $150K for a big boat.
