Welcome to GH.
Stock ski or modded?
In most cases, the 85mm nozzle is faster, stock or DF prop with the HO pump. The 87mm will give you better holeshot and mid. In some cases, going from the 85 to the 87 will result in prop spin (cavatation) on holeshot, depending on mods, prop pitch etc....
I mod my 87 nozzles to get the holeshot and same speeds (within .2 mph) as the 85, to get the best of both worlds.
General rule is the 85mm nozzle is the choice for the best top speeds.
The best advise for you is to do your own testing with both nozzles. If your 03' is stock, i would stick with the 85 but test them back to back, this way you can be your own judge.

Hey thanks. The ski is basicly stock Its been redone with a hot rods crank and wiseco pistons. I did the D plate but thats it. I dont need more top speed really but I was going to do the new prop so I thought I'd go ahead and do the housing and nozzle as well. Thanks again.

take the 85mm and bore it to 86.8mm.
remove the visibility spout (grind on the inside and fill)
remove the syphon (grind on the inside and fill)
