    Paint

A question to all the guys who have repainted their ski's. What is the best make and type for my XL1200Ltd, and are there any 'stay away' from makes you guys have used, but wish you hadn't! I'm leaning towards a Sikkens epoxy primer, top and clear. Sconti Stellari has given me a load of advice, but my local paint supplier doesn't know what to suggest for SMC, and he's asking what type of epoxy I want. He's worried I may get the wrong stuff, and it'll peel off, and so am I!!! I know it's been debated before, and I've done the search,. but makes and actual type hasn't been mentioned. Any actual makes/tradenames you guys can recomend? Thank's. Dave.

Sorry to be dumb, but what's that? Thank's for the info. Single held up no probs? I thought 2 pack may be harder. Cheers, Dave.

Give Dan a ring and pick his brains hes a legend with pwc's,

he was approved by yamaha uk and did lots of repair work through the boat shot rainhan, essex,

he moved workshop's and no longer does trade pwc's due to them wanting everything at cost and had moved into classic cars among others

he still paints pwcs for joe public and i will say he is first class and has done a few full paints for me over the years,

    Dan tyler...

Thank's Paul. That's the shop my ski came from originally. I'll call him tomorrow on the number you gave. I spoke to a guy today supplies paint for motorcycles. He seemed to know his stuff so a trip to Blackpool on Friday should sort me out, but your guy may give me specific types to ask about. I've rigged some 500watt spotlghts over the hull so it'll be nice and warm when I spray. Cheers. Dave
