Anyone Wakeboard behind their ski?
So who on here wakeboard/wakeskates behind their ski? I've found using the skis for pulling is a big plus for beginners like me with the smaller wakes and quick turn-around times. . . but as I gotten better the small RXP wake (maybe 1' at the most) just isnt doing much for me anymore especially after riding behind a wakeboat with HUGE wakes.
Anyone know of any ways to make a bigger wake with a ski??
Load the front storage bucket with alot of weight?
Trim doesnt really have much of an effect on the wake except for the spray. . .

I would like to know this as well. I have pulled tubes behind mine but I want to start wakeboarding.
I have seen the retractable ski pylon but it says they only fit on the rxt. Does anyone know if they make one that fits the rxp or am I stuck with the ski eye?

Im pretty sure it wont fit the RXP because the exhaust location. . . that pylon would be pretty sweet to have since the rope "catchs" some water when its tied to the eye hook.
But I have found that if you use the hook to tie it, but run the rope around the grab handle it makes it a little bit higher, but eventually the rope will start to wear on the handle. . .
Also another usual part is the wakeboard rack, I just got one last week and LOVE it! It will fit the RXP even though dealers/site say it will only fit GTX/RXT skis.

not legal to tow with a two seater in Fla......plus we just use the boat to wake board cause there's no wake behind the ski's, like you said....

i have pulled 2 wakeboarders, they loved it. I have an RXT. that ski plyon will not work cause it cant go through the grab bar. the rxp would work but you nee a lot of weight in the back to throw a bigger wake and what speed to yall tow at?

I have never wakeboarded behind a ski before. But I have slalomed behind one. Lol! It was so easy to make that jet ski turn side ways.
But good luck with making the wake bigger, You will have to put ALOT of weigh in the back of the ski to even have a decent one. And I would think if you have a good wake and the boarder got enough POP off the wake it would yank the ski over.

on the RXT there is a lot of weight on it mine throws a good wake i usally take 3ppl at once and there is somebady on the back weighin it down now if your not watching yea you can get sideways but i found it to be pretty easy keeping it under control

So why is it illegal to tow with a two seater? Call me ignorant, but why is it more dangerous than a three seater? I hope its legal in MS.
I was pulling a tube at around 20-25. I am pretty sure you could go faster. The guy I was with kept letting go, said it was too fast. Then he pulled me at the same speed and it wasn't very fast. Obviously he has never been behind a wakeboarding boat.
