    Question Gp 1200 & gp 800

Can anyone tell me if a 1997 GP 1200 motor and drive line will drop into a 1999 GP 800 hull without issues,my 97 hull is trash but everything else is good and i am thinking of buying a stripped 99 GP hull that had the 800 motor.I would have to use all my 97 mechanical parts.

Not hard at all the runners have taped inserts for both 800 and 1200 mounts.
You will need the pump exhaust and ignition components from the 1200 as well.
One day max to get it done.

The 97 1200 hull has trim tabs the 99 800 hull has none.
The 97 pump is 155 mm the 800 pump is 148 mm I think its smaller than 155 for sure.
A 97 1200 pump has a 0 deg nozzle a 99 1200 pump has a 5 deg nozzle if you ride in chop the 0 deg helps keep the nose down if you ride a lot of flat water a 5 deg helps get the nose up so might want to try a 5 deg exit nozzle.

You are looking at the same hull I was, you're local though it looks like. Good luck.

I broke my 97 as well.

No known issues on the '99 hulls. All the gp800's had 144mm pumps, not 148mm. Not more than 1-2 days to swap everyhting over.....do a good cleaning on the '99 hull before dropping your 1200 stuff inside....it'll make you feel good!
