There is alot more to cornering and hookup than what boost you are running. SC may just have the edge in real tight CC courses but anything bigger, turbo will be gone for dust.

Reliability, well to make it a fair comparison you would have to have same power output from both. I think if you can control the heat turbo is very reliable, you can run better oil and you will never have to worry about the clutch.

Ski life is not going to be effected just engine life but this is more down to riding conditions and use on top of what RPM you run. Also depend on final tune of your setup.

At the end of the day boost is boost.

20 PSI from a turbo is pretty much the same as 20 PSI from a SC.

Just depends if its coming from a turbo or SC.

Only difference is more heat from turbo and no washers to deal with

That is not true. remember a turbo uses waste to create power. and sc uses power to make power. i remember reading that the stock 215 sc has a parasitic loss of about 40hp. so 7 psi in a stock motor with an sc becomes 255 with a turbo, all other things being equal.

I wouldn't quite call it the same.. if we had the efficiency of the charger then we could compare that to a turbo.

and like addicted saying, you then would have to compare the parasitic loss of the sc vs the back pressure on the turbo...

(what your really after is Air density)

and at what rpm do you get full boost sc vs turbo

then we could really doing some comparing!

    turbo vs supercharger

Great topic no doubt that a supercharger is the best bang for your buck and the speeds the guys are getting out of them are great, but there always going with bigger 1s time and time again. Just put the turbo on and you can keep turning up the boost its endless power the set ups cost a little more but look how many superchargers they go thru to find a good speed. So if your looking for quick out of the hole and cheap go supercharger less maintence less problems and the best bang for your buck. If you want crazy power and great top end and have money too spend go turbo and never look back.

Its not the turbo that keeping him in the water, its prob got a aftermarket pump and or bigger diameter pump, diff grate, diff sponson position, as I said before turbo or sc if you change nothing else they will have the same hookup just diff power delivery. R88
