    1300 Plug Question

Having some issues with an 07 Lowell Ported 1300 with all the goodies, Ski apparently ran 80mph with the previous owner. ski has about 40 hours since porting.

Recently purchased ski is only getting 73mph @ 7100 rpm with a DF 14/23.5 prop and 85mm nozle (800 grate). Fuel controller settings 5-7-5-5

Did a plug chop today at WOT and never seen plugs this colour. (see pictures)... what are your thoughts?

Ski bottom to mid range splatters and shakes while mid throtle. holding throttle @ 3000rpm engine splatters (doesn't run smooth). Once Power band kicks in, clears up, ski pulls clean but just lacks that top end speed and rpm.

Cylinder Number 3 seems to be the reason for splutter but compression is good and reeds are fine (already checked). On idle pulling #3 off engine bearly changes (slight change)...

PS: This is the ski we're having issues with

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Good point... its my brother in laws ski I'm trying to sort out, hadn't even thought of that... but last time he filled up I think he couldn't get hi octane so had to put fuel adetive in it... I'll have to check with him whats in the current tank... and might have to do another plug chop with clean fuel.

Still doesn't explain the loss of 200rpm and 5 or 6mph. and the splutter down low ?????

if I remember correctly, been some time since I did the car scene, lead additive gave a green hue on the ground electrode, octane additive gave a reddish color, I think... been awhile...

Fuel controller settings are kinda lean but the plugs show rich and you already checked the reeds.

I was with Damo this morning and i ve never seen plugs this colour.

The ski has no power down low freaking weird lets say ur trying to get on a plane at 3000rpms its like its drowning does not run smooth then the power band kicks in smoothens right out scream but its also down on power. Example it will not cavitate at all with a SS800 grate in it now thats telling you something.

    Reeds have been checked
water box replaced incase it was blocked
    EFI work sweet
    Comp is good

Where cleaning and flowing the injecters next (maybe a problem)
Is there any chance something has happened to the 3 degree timing key
    or
tie a anchor to it sink the thing LOL LOL LOL

Realy want to get this ski going for the new owner.
