2000 Gpr Efi
Finally got the 2000 GPR EFI setup running. But now I have a question. I loosened my umi finger throttle to make sure that I was not pulling on the cable when I first tried to start it. But I don't see why that should even bother the idle. After it initially starts, it does not want to stay running. I know I had a ton of fogging oil in it, but after 4 starts, the stuff should have all gone out the exhaust. So my question is, what would cause my 1st cylinder to feel so damn hot and the other 2 cylinders (middle and rear) to feel normal. The motor has not been broken in either, I am doing the initial stages of breaking in.
The original problem that I had was that the motor would not start up. My fuel injectors were clogged up, with the help of Rich WFO, we figured it out. Mikel70 and I cleaned up the injectors, got them spraying and then put the boat back. It just doesn't want to idle and cylinder #1 is way hotter than the other two. I am wondering if I clogged that injector up again. Will an EFI motor run on two cylinders while the other cylinder doe not get any fuel?

Dude, that avatar, ooohhhlala baby.
I figured as much that it would run on 2 cylinders while the other one did not fire. My front cylinder is 3 to 4 times hotter than the other two. This is a brand new engine. I can only think that the front injector got plugged again.

Presuming that you assembled it with a little oil, I think that if you are only just starting up then stopping it, that You have a fuel supply problem on the front cylinder. REXA.

Thats what we thought too, so we took it all apart. The injectors are spraying plenty of fuel. I tested out anothers ski and the front cylinder does get hotter than the other two.
