    Best Mid-size Pick-up??

You guys have any insights on what the best mid size pick-up is? I want a double-cab and 4x4. Tacoma/Frontier/Colorado/Dakota? Not crazy about the ridgeline or ranger styling ....and the 43k price tag for an H3t is out-of-hand.........suggestions?

Uses of the truck will be towing the ski, slimy boat ramps, beach launches, and the occasional mudding day, trips to Lowes, etc etc

Bought my first Toyota in 84. This one is a 2007 and my 7th Toyota. Loved them all, but this one is the best. Plenty of power, gas mileage aint great, but have been driving 4wd forever so im used to it. If you get one and will hauling a lot of stuff in the back, get a long bed the regular bed is kinda short. Other than that you cant beat them, they last forever and resale is always great.

My milage is not great, but thats what 6" lift and 35's will do. Stock the milage aint bad.

I would just go full size chevy Chris. Gas mileage is the same or better and its just a great truck. My 4WD extended cab pulled a 4 place trailer to MB with a ton of gear, 3 people and averaged 15mpg!! On average it gets 19-20 without trailer. My truck has 200k on it and still love it.

This is just my opinion but I would never go small or midsized when the 1500 chevy is so good.

We had the Xterra, it was a great truck and was awesome offroad with just a tire change...

Just went down this road myself.. i wanted a midsize 4 door 4x4... I found the gas mpg's from full to mid to be negligible.. and way less towing capacity for the mids.. (chevy colorado has the 5.3 as an an option buy can only tow about 3500 lbs)

and all the nicer midsizes cost the same if not more than the full size! (ahem toyotas)

so ended up with a fullsize dodge..

    good luck in the search
