Barnegat Inlet THIS SATURDAY! 9/2 WAVE JUMPING!

Anyone up for meeting up at the inlet! There will be a small craft advisory, yeah fun! 40-50mph winds. and the Tropical storm will be probably dumping a load on us! If the main storm hits over night Friday and just leaves Saturday with rain and wind (no lightning) the inlet will be ripping!

Last Sunday it was ripping pretty good, 8-9ft rollers, and the same as breakers on the south side of the south jetty.

I might be able to get a boat to accompany us.

Thats what I'm hopeing on, it being too far north, like in PA The back side of it will probably be bringing in surg, and wind from the east, making for some sick rideing. And with the protection of the inlet you can pick your level of waves. The Coast Guard station is right there, last year when I went out during something like this, they were patroling the mouth of the inlet.

I'll keep in touch as the week progresses.

I still haven't figured out my Trailering situation, so I'm still stuck with keeping the skin in the back on the Lagoon. Other wise I'd trailer it so some place "more funner".

Just got in....Left for the Barnigate inlet at 11:00 this morning, and got back about 3:20pm. The middle of the Bay and the west side had ab out 3' whitecaps, dont know what the wind speed is, but I tried to gps the wind speed and it was about 20mph.

On the flats of the inlet on the inside, by the light house, there were 4' breakers where it was shallow.

THe sand bar in the inlet was creating about 9' steep swells, and I took a look out mouth of the inlet and they were 10foot+ swells and breakers...had to play dodge the breakers!

I'm going back tomorrow, hopefully it will be just a GOOD!!!

You missed the last Sunday 27th at OC. The waves were ridiculous big!! Way bigger than you have seen out there. I took some pics. I will hopefully have them in a couple days posted.
