    AVG free version.

Windows Defender for spyware (it's free as well)

Malwarebytes for malware scanner (yep, it's free too)

Eset NOD 32, it's not free but they have a trial version.

I have several Macs around the family, and another on order. Won't fully displace Windows in my house, but the mix is useful.

Have been reading up recently on using non-Apple hardware to run the Mac operating system. Interesting stuff, especially using the inexpensive and compact Netbooks, for which there is no equivalent from Apple.

The Dell Inspiron Mini10v is $300 and can run genuine (and paid for) Mac OS X 10.6.x

Not as streamlined an install as on real Apple hardware, but the hardware price points can be compelling.

Apparently, if you want 2GB of RAM you need to order the Linux version

I haven't figured out the best WiFi option yet for compatibility with OS X on the Mini 10V...

I use this as well. It's not free, but it's not expensive either. I have 2 year, multi user license. Catches all kinds of incoming chit.

GeoRXT, I have a one year complimentary license of the ESET NOD32 if you want it. You seem to do tons of stuff for others, so it would be the right thing to do.

I use the AVG free stuff as well.

Just shoot me a PM and I will send you the codes.

AVG free is good. From what I understand the free stuff that comes with Windows (Windows Defender or whatever) is good also. Just the windows 7 version, Vistas Windows Defender sucks.
