Riva Ride Plate On RXP-X....Are There Two Choices?

I am using a 2.5 degree wedge and an R&D intake grate on my RXP-X.
Is it okay to run the new Riva ride plate with my configuration or is there a big concern with this increasing the chance of an over-stuff/buck.
Also if it's okay to use one with my setup, should I go with the one that is specified for the 255 or will the one for 215's fit.
A couple other general questions about these plates I can't find the answer to:

    1. Is there a design difference in the 2 plates or is it just the way they bolt up?
    2. Which models do these two plates fit? On Riva's site it says that the the 255 cannot be used on a iControl ski. Does that mean it fits all other 255hp models like the RXP-X, RXT-X, GTX Limited?

Thanks for the help in advance and sorry if these questions have been answered. I searched and couldn't find this specific info.

255 rideplate has all three grate holes in it. To use the 255 on a 215 you would have to modify the shoe or update to the 255 shoe. If you used the 215 on your 255 you would only have one grate bolt in the rear.

Yes overstuffing would come quicker due to increases angle but most likely not untill you were over 80 with the R&D grate. Either way it can be addressed and resolved while the rideplate is off.

    Hope this helps.

    That definitely helps.
What other models do these plates fit then?
Is it just the RXP, RXP-X, RXT, & RXT-X?
Also what kind of gains can I expect on the RXP-X? Is it as much as the 3mph as advertised?

The 255 plate on the 215/185 (RXT/GTX in my case)...I will be modifying the intake grate...removing some material, welding the ol'/current bolt holes, and drilling new bolt holes to mount to the 255 plate.

Ok, I understand you have to modify the the 215 to make the 255 fit.
Is it safe to run the 215 on the 255 with only the one bolt for the grate?
Also most important what type of speed gains can I expect on the RXP-X?

You would not want to run the 215 plate on the X setup. The 255 or x plate is much better setup.

On the 255 plate all three grate holes are in the aluminum plate and is a much safer way to go. Almost all of my RXPs that I've done were upgraded to the 255 plate setup.

Why are you welding the old holes on the grate? You still need them to help support the longer shoe on the rxt/gtx.

...Even with the bosses stripped AND setting on my bench? Is there a trick to get the bosses to "stick" in place? Maybe a wood screw through the grate and into the plastic of the shoe??? (Enter "Sanford and Son" theme song here)

You need to epoxy them back in.
