Part Number for 4 inch K&D Filter

K&N Part number is RU 2590. This filter is 7 inches long and has a 4 inch throat to connect directly to your 4 inch KANAFLEX 620 WD 4 inch hose. I am sure you can probably get it cheaper somewhere else but I got mine at PEP BOYS for 52.19 icluding tax. If you asked them to they will overnight it to the store at no charge to you. Get that 4 inch supercharger adapter from RXPBLAST and you are set.

    HERE YOU GO much cheaper:

I have a 4 inch intake system on my other RXP which is modded. I am however going to put 4 inch intake system on my stock RXP ski as well.

i think torquephoto is trying to say you dont need a filter. you need a flame arrestor. i got one off ebay for $10 + $10 shipping. there were 10 left when i got mine but they are only for 3".

I bought mine at Auto Zone it is for off road so it is only a stainless mesh without the cotton I cant remember how much it was but it wasn't bad then I found an airaid outerwear that fit it perfect.

On a stock intercooled RXP/RXT the intercooler acts as the flame arrestor.

I run a filter because I would rather have filtered air enter my engine than un-filtered. Makes sense doesn't it?

yea but the reason cars run filters is because of all the dust in the air and when you drive down a gravel road well with water you dont have that problem so there for you do not need a filter

Yeah, I get that SD, but I'd be willing to bet that there is still some paticulate matter floating in the air around water- especially in a river or lake environment (ever see that film of dust or pollen on the suface out there)? Less so on the open ocean though. I'd rather have the overkill given the choice. Not to mention I've seen way too many pieces of small debris and dirt rattling around loose in watercraft hulls... hate to see anything make it's way into the intake.

The way I see it, as long as you don't restrict the air flow by using a big enough filter- you're only doing good.
