No sport bike, only the spyder. What's your point?

He won't get one of the badest sportbikes ever made just becasue he's completely gay about Yamaha. The R1 is an awesome bike. Maybe not quite the fastest, but definitely one of the best handling.

The R1 is a great "looking" bike... but the GSXR 1K owns the street If I ever buy another street bike... thats what it will be

I just got rid of my GSXR 1K in May of last year. It definitely lived up to it's expectations. I never lost a race except to a Kawi 1400, and it wasn't by much. I won 1 out of 3 races with him from 40 rolls. I would have had even less of a chance from a dig because I had such a shorter wheel base. I couldn't keep the front wheel down even with me up over the tank.

I was never really into straight line riding on my bike though. I hated pounding the highways in traffic and I had to ride pretty far to get to my favorite roads that were actually a challenge. Once we got there non of me and my buddies ever let up. If we were coming up on a car near a blind corner, we passed them anyways, rode wheelies off every little hill or bump in the road, and then slammed it back down in time to start our next turn. We would go up and down certain roads getting faster and faster. We'd hit around 140+ in the straights and would take 40 mph turns at around 80+. I'm lucky to still be alive. I remember riding in jeans and t-shirts and getting so low in turns that my foot would actually get caught underneath my peg if I accidentally let my toe drop. That almost wiped me out a couple times.

I still miss riding but not enough to become paralyzed.

The new R1s put something like 180 to the rear tire. They should give the new GSXRs a run for their money.

How much horsepower is the GSXR 1k and Hyabussa?
