    billet nose cone

I am just in the process of putting my ski back togerther after adding a new impeller. How important is the billet nose cone. No matter what I do I can't get the pump back on with the nose cone installed. When I remove the nose cone the whole thing slips into place like butter.

Grease up the inside of the Nose Cone and be sure the Driveshaft isn't drooping down/mis-aligned with the Cone.
If it is, stuff a couple rags up through the Intake Grate to prop it up a bit. Also, sometimes the Driveshaft Splines are just a little offset from the Impeller and you need to rotate the Impeller a tad to get it to slip in.
