Finally in the water
Well, weather has not co-operated here near Detroit, but got some water time today after moding the ski.
Mods: OPAS gone, BOV, Vortec SC impeller, Rotax Racing HD Clutch.
Ran the ski on the hose to change the oil and make sure everything is working. Nice thing is the BOV vents at idle to unload the SC, nice.
The engine sounds vicious if you blip the throttle.
Put her in the water and took it easy for a few min to check for leaks and such. no problems.
Nailed and all I cans say is "Dayamm!!!" it rocketed away compaied to stock and it sounds far more eager to rev! She roared up to 70 without even breathing hard!.
She down right hauls compaired to stock. The Riva/Vortech SC impeller sure does work on the accelleration.
Now with the OPAS gone this machine feels more like other ski's, way more tossable. Seems to turn even better, I know some says its harder to turn but mine was the opposite.
Digital boost guage worked flawlessly, I will post details of this mod when I have pictures. It fits right between the stock cluster by the latch for the hood glove box. (all electronic, snoops MAP sensor and converts it into a Digital LCD needle display)
