Anyone Ever Pull there Jet Ski off the Trailer??

Has anybody ever pulled there ski off the trailer using a Engine hoist/ crane?

Im looking for a quick way to lift the ski and support it whilst I change my bunks to runners

Has anyone ever used box Pallets to support there ski?

    Thanks

Yep all the time I just drop in on the ground and winch it back on the trailer.

Thats for a xp seadoo! lol

Get 3 pallets and line them up, slide the ski back onto them and when balanced, pull the trailer forward a little to get room to work, then winch it back on when done. You won't have to lift anything then. except the pallets!

If your going to drop it on the grass instead, thats what I do too, when done, lift the trailer real high and connect the ski and winch it on half way or more first with the trailer up in the air, and then lean it forward and winch it on the rest of the way! don't let go of the trailer! much easier to get it on. use a strong line!

Or, secure ski to tree.. unhook ski from trailer, . then hook-up trailer to truck and take off real fast! lol. NOT!!!

Or unhook ski from trailer, go in reverse fast and slam on the brakes, it will slide off! Hopefully! lol NOT!

It was just a generic image for illustrative purposes. They are made for all different brands. I say just get a few friends together and lift it off and set in on some old carpet or something relatively soft, even some old cardboard will keep it from getting scratched.

Lure some buddies over for some beer.

Then have them help you lift it off the trailer.

Replace the bunks while they're drinking the beer.

Then have them help lift it back onto the trailer before all the beer is drunk.

    Much cheaper than buying hoists/lifts/slings

I was only kidding! I just seen the seadoo in the pic. I though you'd have better taste than that!

Now THIS is a sling! lol

Buddy's are a quick easy way to do it. However, 3 seaters are a bit harder to handle than a 2 seater.

If you don't have enough buddy's you can use a nylon tow strap placed under the ski for a make-shift sling.

Bowsniper, that swing thing reminds me of one of them sex swing chair things, made me laugh

Ive looked into the lads round options including loads of beer but the three seater is quite heavy and i know when it comes to putting it back on the trailer it will go peat tong (wrong)

Im gonna hire a engine hoist and some strapping and crank it up with that

ill take some pics as well i know u guys would like a laugh

    cheers
