    Anyone Remove This??

Does anyone remove the thing that is pointed to by the arrows in the picture? It looks like a plain vent to me and it doesnt really go anywhere. Does it do anything? I figured removing it would free up some space up front.

I wouldn't remove it unless you are a flat water speed run only rider. Especially if you use the riva cold air intake.

i have a custom intake. the filter sits by the gas tank. would it be safe to remove it if i put a pre-filter on? My speed runs are done in flat water but i do jump waves and that fun stuff. I'm a rec. rider. I didn't really know that thing did anything besides maybe remove engine fumes and direct them up front.

Its so that gas vapors are vented. Lots of people remove them and I've never heard any bad stories.

Its actually a vent/intake but when upside down it has the opposite affect.
