MS: Black was made for tactical LE / Military purposes and is no longer manufacturered. It was not designed as a 'safety vest' for general public recreational use but for professional use, hence a greater product in my estimation. Black in the water isn't as easy to spot.

The international orange is the only one that Mustang Survival is producing currently. There may be a few sites selling gear that have old stock of the black ones.

Remember you need to change out your gear annually due to wear and breakdown of materials. Weather/sun/friction reliant.

I have tested all the gear extensivly and the Musting Survival so far is my favorite, however there are good products out there from other companies. Just maintain your gear after each use.

Also, in hotter climates this lifejacket increases torso heat retention so layer accordingly.

yeah it is the black one-- i will snap a pic tonight. I had a hard time finding one. I ride mostly lakes so the color was not as important for me. If I was off-shore I would def. go with the orange. I just wanted a good vest for safety.
