    Floating dock suggestions

I am looking at several different floating dock models. I would be interested in all opinions and suggestions with one caveat....you need to give good factual information for your recommendation not just hearsay please.

    Thank you.

Well, I don't have one (my piers are more fixed and have sockets--Aluminacraft) but I have heard people that have them talk positively about them. Especially where the water level fluctuates quite a bit.

However, on my lake, the water doesn't fluctuate very much but there are still people that have them.

Although the Yamaha Four Stroke Performance section of this forum is the best section (actually not my opinion--it's a fact ), I would suggest possibly posting your thread in the General Discussion area or asking a Moderator to move it there. You might get a lot of the "other guys" that have knowledge on this topic.

I have jetdock. The website is:

    http://www.jetdock.com/pwc-lifts.asp

I've had it for 8 months and my only complaint is that the black squarers get really hot and burn my feet during the summer.

Build your own, they look alot better - but take alot more work. Pressure treated lumber, plastic floats, composite decking. These were the 1st pictures before I trimed it out but you get the idea. Slides on and off with no problems.

And this one does belong in the yamaha section

I hate to say this, but that looks like it would scratch the hell out of the bottom of your boat. Sliding the boat on wood cannot be a good thing.

Carlos- its composite decking not wood - there are many brands trex, geodeck, etc. I swear the stuff is 100% plastic but that's not technically correct it has some wood fibers in it but it cuts like plastic. Anyway, no stain, no splinters and no boat scratches.
