Getting sho/fzr/fzs up to speed!
When I go through the Yamaha 4 stroke forum I see a lot of different forum guys working on lots of new ideas to get these skis up and running way better than we ever thought they could go! Congradulations to "everyone" of you for taking the time and money to do the R&D during the off ridding season (for most of us) to make these ski's way faster. As spring 2010 arives I look for some impressive speed numbers being posted on the forum. I am sure the seadoo side of the forum is watching us closely ! Lets don't dissappoint them. Keep up the good work guys. Tommy Jordan

Ive owned Seadoos, Polaris, Yamaha, and Kawasakis, and loved them all, and find myself loyal to none..Sure i have my favorites but love the competition between manufacturers.
What cannot be denied about the SHO engine is its sheer size..
The laws of physics remain the same, and the old adage is true, there is no replacement for displacement and the SHO at 1812ccs compared to Seadoos 1494 puts it at 1.22 times larger in displacement alone, aside from the fact its a 4 cylinder with smoother power pulses.
1.22 times size difference is exactly the same difference as a 350 cid from a 427 cid engine.
So its pretty much a big block versus small block..
Historically, we know who won those battles..
Yes Tommy, some midnite oil is being burned prepping the sho motors, and there will indeed be some impressive numbers in 2010.
Its gonna be a fun year..
