    Flo Rite Help?

Hey guys im preparing to install two flo rites in the back of the cowling right above the brp logo cover. im worried about two things . first is im going to have to drill in from the outside of the cowling to get it to match up where i want it. Is this going to cause a problem??? next is since its at kinda of an angle is the vent going to seat right on the cowling??? thanks guys and if you have a picture or two i would love to see where you guys have yours placed.thanks

A couple things that I learned as I've done this... there is no problem drilling from the outside, as thats the only way to get them exactly where you want them. Secondly... the 2" plastic flow-rites are F'in junk, and I can just about promise you that they will break as you install them there, or very shortly after I had 3 of them break ($60 bucks down the toilet ), one of them installed fine... then 5 days later I found it broken, and the ski never moved out of the garage! I went with the Starting Line Products 2.5" flow-rites with the rubber surround as there is nothing to break, and there better for non-flat mounting surfaces. Here's a link:

The lip on the inside of the flo rites are to narrow take a hand flat file and file the clip wider. Then I used black weather strip glue to help hold them in.

yep-love those things, but the housing is cheap-ass city!!
I would glady pay a few more bucks if the plastic(or whatever the hell it is)was a little more thicker/flexible.

The 2.5" flow rites with the rubber surrounds are the same price as the cheap ass plastic ones. More air flow, same price, and non-breakable... it's a no brainer!
