ProDesign Coolhead question
Did I read somewhere that these heads use the Pro-tec o-rings and domes? Can anyone confirm this?
I destroyed my 97 hull and just picked up a 98 hull, I'm about to start swapping over my parts and figure it's time for a top end rebuild and carb rebuild.
I can't decide if I want to put any money into this head or buy a nice new ADA head with a little more compression, and sell what I have.

Pro tec made a C3 head and Pro design made a Cool head I have both of them the O,rings interchange and the domes do too.One diference would be Pro tec 42cc domes = 150 psi and Pro design 44cc domes = 150 psi.
You can run Pro design domes in the Pro tec head and vice versa.
I bought extra o,rings if you need some ill sell you some cheap.
3 o,rings that you need for 1 dome = $5.00
9 o,rings that you need for 3 domes = $10.00
They fit pro tec and pro design heads.

Thanks for the heads up, I'll keep that in mind.
I want to see what it all looks like when I tear it down. I may not need domes, but thank you. If I have the cash once I switch all this over and get my superjet done, I might just opt for the ADA head.

I'm running girdled ADA heads on both my 65U and the 62T ....Although I personally liked the Riva better because it has locking domes. I've not had any issues with the ADA changing plugs..but I even liked the Riva look better.
Here is the 62T differences...

I have ADA heads on both my 61x on my blaster, and my 62t on my Superjet. I've had great luck with them. Which domes are you running for the 65u? And what compression?

I believe the Pro Design domes are the same as the Pro-Tec C2 & C3 heads.
Are you looking for the domes or o-rings?
Riva did have the best domes and head design, too bad they stopped making them.

Just weighing my options right now and wanted to be sure parts were still available.

Last I heard Pro design sent all there domes to Pro tec so you have to call Pro tec for Pro tec or Pro design domes.
I have 100's of o,rings for the domes if anyone needs some.
I am looking for someone with a lathe to open up the squish band on mine or I will have to buy some more with a bigger squish band.

I'm not sure on compression yet...because of the porting and the decking of my cylinders to get the squish where TJ wants it. Stock bore/porting they are 150 PSI.... I was running 195 PSI on my flat top with 28CC domes...where now I'm going to be running the 42's
