My 1st Ski... Help me put it back together
My name is zack, I am almost 15. I am Moderator Danny's godson. I have been into riding skis all my life and have grown up with them and after this years vacation of riding danny's and a couple others, I really want to get one of my own.
I have a 95 SPX w/ a 657x motor that is completely striped down. It has a JetTrim seat, Solas prop and intake grate, and custom sponsons. I have the whole service manual for reference. i am getting new pistons and have a new gasket kit.My plan was to true the hull and re-gelcoat the bottom.
Is there anything special I should know befor the rebuild, any special tricks???

I'll order your piston kit on Monday, so we should have it by next weekend and can start working on it. We'll need to get some things in the basement, its too cold to work in the garage right now...

Ok sounds good. Working in the basement is a much better idea.

Zack, welcome to the Hulk. Great project you have going. I'd perhaps look into an engine alignment tool.

Nice looking ski & welcome aboard!
With a Godfather like Danny, you'll be good hands. Unfortunately his "modding madness" disease is probably contagious. You've already had too much exposure.
