2 stroke pipes have an optimum rpm band where they make the most power.the stock domestic red pipe is around 6700 to 6750.factory pipes for the pro1200 from 7300 to 7500 and the virage tx 7400 to 7600.the slxh pipes 6900 to 7100 and the sltx pipes 6900 to 7100

    pipes

these are what i remember as specs, the log manifold is 6700-6750 as well just has a smoother bottom end without the hit the red pipe has.the badass race pipes were 7800-8000 or there abouts

What would the range be for the R and D shortened pipes in my Pro? My cdi goes to 9000.

7800-8100 probrably but that would be pushing it ,you want to try and dail it in at around 7800-7900 this would be GREAT

the 1050 pipes slxh and sltx pipes are designed to run at 6900-7150(long pipes) and and the virage tx pipes and the matrix pipes and pro 1200 at 7450 with about a 150 rpm over rev.....I have measured all these pipes and that is where they make power at.....the longer the pipe the lower the rpm they are designed to run at...... sorry to burst anyone's bubble.....

I will measure out a stock 785 pipe....

the stock domestic red pipe will make power to about 7000 give or take a 100 rpm....

i know any tuned in stock 785 will run 7950 and you can tell when it's running at that rpm ,some guys run there 785's at around 7600-7700 and i was told that running that low rpm on a 785 is not very good for the motor it needs more
