Yes it will work. I would remove the rideplate brackets and re-seal with 5200. Find some old rideplate bolts and large fender washers set brackets with a good bit of 5200 bolt tight using fenderwashers and old bolts. Let set up 24 hours and you should be good to go. The fender washers are for the outside of the hull to keep bolts from pulling through and you will not have to use your ride plate. Or you can just use rideplate, but make sure everything is straight.

Dont use 5200 on the bolts, pull the brackets, prep the hull and use 5200 and glue the brackets down(both sides). What year?
If you have not installed the tunnel reinforcment, now is the time

I agree. While you have everything apart back there, take the time to reinforce the pump tunnel. check all your hose clamps and hoses as well.
I would also inspect the waterbox mount and make sure the rubber pad is still there and the vibration of the waterbox has not rubbed a hole in the waterbox mount.

I knew someone would not get the way I explained it. I did not mean for the guy to 5200 the bolts in place bro. I just use the bolts to hold the brackets in place then take them out and throw them away if you like. Or give them to the sheep once your done..

Post said GP1300R so i assumed it was a newer ski. You need to replace all the brackets with the updated ones...

If its a 2001, he doesn't have brackets. Unless he updated them.
If you don't put silcone underneath them they will leak.

my 2003 had a re-call on this...the hull filled up with water because the smc under the pump shoe broke out...the fix was the newer style brackets , yamaha fixed under re-call warranty.
