Aftermarket steering and handlebar setup question.

I have a 05 RXP that im about to put a set of race handelbars and race steering system on it. My question is what do you do with the lanyard connection that is mounted under the factory handelbar set up once you install the new race handelbars? Is their a bracket that you can buy to mount it?

What type of system are you going to buy The DESS post is no big deal... you can make a simple bracket for it if needed. UMI systems already have it!

The UMI kit in my online store comes with the DESS post bracket.

Actually, I am going to be using the UMI set up. I just didnt notice it had a place to mount it. Thanks for letting me know about that. I had been kind of sweating it but no reason too now.

Now you just need to find a spot to mount your buzzer, and the mode-set buttons

Thanks BDRXP. Do you have any idea as to where most people might mount them? I figure i could mount them inside the storage compartment that sits below the handelbars.

As loud as the buzzer is... it can pretty much be mounted anywhere with tie straps. Just make sure it's angled down, as you won't hear crap it if its full of water! The mode & set buttons are actually one rubber switch housing that can be mounted pretty much any where that you can reach with 3M automotive 2 sided tape. It's not like you use these buttons that often, well at least I don't. You will have to modify your wiring harness to move things where you want them. You can run your stock switch housing with aftermarket bars... but IMO it looks like crap!

Got cha. Ill see if i cant make it all work out of that storage compartment. If not then we will just have to get a little more creative.
