250 X stock battery
I have an 08 250 X with 130 hrs on it. I still have the stock battery in it. It is 1 year and 8 months old. I keep a battery tender hooked when not in use. When would be a good time to replace it? Don't want to find my self out on an island at 8 pm with a dead battery. Thanks

why replace it if it aint broke, batteries will last for years with the right TLC, it is an un-known do what you are most happiest with. some last some don't, you cant predict when it will fail.

Set your clock - 2 years to the day........
The OEM battery isn't that bad, however mine died within hours of crossing 2 years of use. I too have it on a battery tender and in a garage in mild FL weather.
I would switch yours out now. Get a AGM (absorbed glass mat) battery from Dekka, Odessey, or similar brands. I got a generic Advance Auto Parts store AGM for about $95.

the ytx20lbs which should be in it seems to last awhile. If I got 2 years out of a battery I would be very happy. I usually get new every year. Not worth the the one time your out alone to get stuck.

Go figure?????? Now that I've mentioned it my wife's battery will probably crap ! Oh well ,it served us well !

Watman, if you live in heat your bats die sooner trust me. Gone through about 4 car bats, 12 lb /acid 18v & 5 lith/ iron 28v Milwalkees in 5 years, 40deg temps and even charged batteries in refrigerator, still did not help. My 2007 is shagged, but still goin.
