    Cold Riding

Since COLD is the word of the week, just wondering what is the coldest air temps anyone has ever ridden their ski in. Florida is having one of the longest stretches of cold weather on history this week with temps in the mid 20s at nite in central florida.
For me, i think the hi 50s are about it. We get acclimated to the heat down here and are cold weather wimps..

I tested a few props and pumps over the weekend. Truck said it was 48!!

Never touched the water though. Had wife back me in and had a rope tied to the truck to keep ski from sliding off. She threw it to me when I came back up on the trailer. It was painful to say the least. The northern guys have more gear for this crap.

My cutoff point for rec riding is 70.

I didn't. Unhooked the boat from the trailer and got on the ski. Held onto the rope while she backed me down the ramp so the ski wouldn't come off until I was in the water. Floated off and tested out on the river. When I came back she would throw me the rope and I would tie off to the steering while she pulled me back out. It was a single trailer so it was more difficult to do without getting wet.

50*F air and 40-45*F water for me. It's crazy how much quicker the ski feels compared to the hot and humid summer months.

48 or so, high winds and big chop on my 96 XP. I had a sweatshirt on and my snow pants because I didnt have cold weather riding gear. On the way back the chop splash was blowing into my face and I was SOAKED when I got to the launch - it was a miserable ride.
