    '02 yamaha gp1200R problem

I just bought a gp1200R from a guy who was storing it in his garage for the last 3 months. I got it for a good price because it wasn't running. He said it was running when he put it away. The problem is when I go to start it the warning light and buzzer go off. It has a D-plate and the new temp sensor so the computer doesn't send bad signals, but it is anyway. Could it be a low oil alarm? Somebody said maybe a "raw" water impeller? Any help would be helpful.

It wont even start it turns over but there is no spark getting to the cylinders prob a fail safe in case something goes wrong in the engine.

Did You check to see if you have compression in each (all 3) cylinders?

No I have not. Would that cause it to sound off and flash warnings? I would think it would fire, just not be as up to far so to say.

Usually there is an icon that blinks when the buzzer goes off, is it temp, oil or gas?

Then it is either the chip for the cat temp sensor or your water temp sensor is not plugged in or not working. These will cause it to not spark. Check the plugs going into the ebox the water temp is the lowest one on the exhaust outlet
