    Motor reassembly questions

    I am putting my motor back together and want to make sure I have it correct before I go any further....

    With the piston @ TDC closest to the end of the block were to ground go and the oil filler tube is I pinned the crank with a drift punch in place then pinned the cam in place with another drift punch bolted the cam gear up.

    Is this correct?

    TDC needs to be on the front cyl closest the gas tank, with the cam lock in place, and the crank locked. Then put the cam gear with the lines(1503) level with the head. set it up this way, and you'll be fine.
