    Havasu landing APBA race(california side)

Looks like the promoter I talked to @ the IHBA finals is making good on his promise.

If I can complete my set up I might actually attend. Each days racing is $60.00 and $20.00 for each day APBA membership.

    Dammit! That's next weekend!
Would that be a super course or a 1 mile CC course?

This has been posted for weeks. I know over on pwc dot com there are a few people racing.
I'll probably go over and take pictures. Dunno if Mark is going to make it or not.
Not even sure what kinda turnout of boats there will be.

Havasu Landings is kind of a "hole". It's an "Indian Casino", and if you ever been there, it barely qualifies. The "venue" itself isn't bad though, it's just that there aren't that many amenities.....like Hotels.

Smart move is to stay on the Arizona side, in Lake Havasu, launch of this side, and ride across the lake with everything you need.
Spectators can take the Havasu Landings Ferry($3.00 total-round trip), and it runs every hour.
Don't forget, they are in California, so they are an hour behind Arizona time.

They are not deciding until race day.

The way I understand it, all the PWC riders have a meeting, and decide on what kinda course/race they want. It's kinda cool that way.

This morning is starting off to be very windy. We've had strong winds now for 3-days, and I'm talking 25 gusting to 50, towards the late afternoon/evening.
That being said; when we get windy conditions, they always last only 3 days....not sure why. So, this should be the last day of the winds.
Tomorrows forecast is for light winds <5mph, and 67 degree's for the high. Which translates to 10mph winds, and 73 degree's.

Also, for those that are thinking of catching the Havasu Landing Ferry to go from Lake Havasu, over to the California side/race site; you must catch the 8:45a.m.(Arizona time/7:45a.m Calif time). They take a break and re-fuel, and the next ferry after that, isn't until 11am, which means you could miss one or two of the boat races. Plus, all the Snowbirds will flock out for the 11am, and if you miss that one, the next one won't be til Noon.

I was told it was closed course so I didn't bother getting ready for it.

I'll be there to try out some camera stuff.
