I would go with the GPR I just never really hear anything about the hondas and I am sure that Yamahas have much more support then Hondas do.

The Hondas are reliable though. What are your goals? That should be question number one.

If you want a good all-around ski with acceptable performance and you dont plan on building it and etc or if you put reliability first, the honda is not a bad choice.

If you want to go fast, the Honda is limited because of its hull design.

    Again, what are your goals?

If you like to ride and not wrench, Buy the Honda. I have known several and rode alongside one at the end of the season... it is a few mph slower than most ski`s of its size, but did the best in fuel consumption, it literally sips fuel, for those long rides...
If you are a rec rider and don`t plan on getting aggressive, this ski is a decent choice... The Honda engines are reliable just like anything Honda makes...

    all this is just opinions
, you need to water test if possible or sit on each machine you choose, ergonomics play`s an important role in any amount of time on the water...

I have witness the Honda in the surf and rough water and it did better than the GPR as far as handling rough waters...
so choose what comes with your style or riding!...
