Riva Water box??
Is anyone here running the Riva Water Box?
Im currently working On my Exhaust and I cant decide if I should just cut my primary water box and drill out the baffels then reweld it and powdercoat it
Buy the already done Riva water box??
Price diffrence is pretty big:
Riva Box $300
Cutting and welding and powerdercoating OEM box $50
Will either options gain me any perforamce or just make it loud and useless??

Since I recieved no reply's I went ahead and cut the water box tonight.
Aparently I did not have the proper size hole saw to drill the baffel out so im going to do that tom night.
Should I only Drill this baffel out, or should I drill a few more holes??
Is this giving me any more performance or am I just wasting my time??

In my opinion i nEver cut my stock. Maybe the ski became too loud for you and then two weeks of happiness than you will want to came back stock and now you can't due to the stock one is cut....
I prefer buy another. Try it and then if is ok sell my stock or if not ok sell the ria one.
The less you spend the more.
Sorry but i have read only now!!!
Let us know

I bought a modded primary for my '07 250 It wasn't built like the stock (the ends were flat, not rounded). I loved the sound, but as soon as I advanced the timing, one of the welds kept cracking which caused lots of problems and ended up being the cause of my ski sinking (in shallow water luckily). I would like to do what you are planning on doing, but am scared of running into the same issues that I had.
Good luck with it. Let me know how it sounds and please post some pics as you move along!
P.S. You wont notice a big difference in performance...

i should have loggen in here more often.. I am running the riva water box... i like you was not sure about it either.. One thing i knew was i did not have the tools to any cutting of any waterboxes= so made up my mind for me.
It's a bit louder and i like the idea that i lost some of the weight. if you have the extra$$ i'd say do it..it might be worth it to you.. like i was told it REALLY depends on the rider.

Is it better to cut the end cap off as Garrett did and riva recommends or cut in the middle?
