Thread: kanaflex hose

Does the 4" intake have to be made from Kanaflex? I found a 4" flex hose today that is the same but no wire in it. Will this stuff work?

I would recommend kanaflex, as the hose without reinforcement will probably collapse You need a suction type hose!

Remember the hose must be rigid enough to support the demand of the larger SC's, but flexible enough to route around the engine. To date, the Kanaflex has been the winner

I have/use Food grade clear 4" flex hose, for use in food moving/processing. It is clear so I can see thro' it, and flexible to over 90 degrees, but rigid as.
One can almost sit on it before it buckles.
Best thing about this I have is there is very little inner restriction caused by the normal bending where it collapses inwards on the inside of the bend.

Jim did you buy the hoses? hook up a pic.
Do a search for hose suppliers in toronto and im sure youll find a place. give them the kanaflex ###### and they'll match it up to something else that close. I just did that today now just need to fing the time toget there

No I didn't buy it because I wanted to know what everybody on the site had to say. The stuff I found is flexable but you could also stand on it and it wouldn't collapse. Is Kanaflex rubber or plastic?

OK Guys. I just got off the phone with the largest hose supplier in Ontario. They do not stock the Kanaflex hose you are all using. They can order it in @ $7.25 per foot and a minimum order is 50'!!!!!!!!! What are us Canadians supposed to use?
