    1995 Wave Raider - 62F VS 64R

    Hello All,

Can anyone tell me what the difference is between a 62F engine and a 64R engine? I have a 1995 Wave Raider 62F and need to replace the crankshaft, pistons, and sleeves and Im not sure if I can do that with a 64R engine which someone is offering me..

    Please help!!!!

    Correction: 62T is what I have not a 62F -

Not sure what you mean by 64F, that has never existed. Do you have pictures of the engine you are buying to identify it?

The main difference is the bore size, 81mm for 701 and 84mm for 760, the 760 also has 44mm carbs stock while the 701 has 38mm stock. Now you can bore a 701 up for 84mm, which is the last safe bore size. And since the 760 has larger sleeves that cuts down on the size of the port transfers size which is less ideal.
Also the electronics are of a different design, but nothing that yields more power. Now the 800 engine, thats completely different.

It's not a 64F, the stamp on the engine indicates 62T. I just want to know the difference between 62T and 64R
