    Tillotson Carb help

I have a tillotson HD carb and am having trouble with it,
When i squeeze the primer ball GAS SHOOTS out of the air cleaner like the needle leaks and lets past then it just flows in through the jets this has not happened before no. theres pressure on the ball and if you contine to squeeze fuel just shoots out like no other (classify this as a redneck primer ) its mounted on a 1280 cc Chrystler engine or else my 1992 Ultranautics Sea flash

Do any of these look similar?

My guess is you either have a stuck needle or possibly damage to the diaphragm and it's maintaining pressure against the needle keeping it open.

I'm just trying to confirm, you are talking about a Sea Flash, right? Because you've made repeated posts about a Chrysler motor. If I'm not mistaken, these had a Suzuki motor.

There's a bit of info on PWCToday on these, if you can stand all the drama over there!

Seems like something is missing, either a diaphragm or a bad check valve, check all your adjustable jets, the one turn out rule works as a good starting point for most all carbs. I think the older moto ski snowmobiles had tillotson carbs too, might want to check into that. The primer bulb (if you have one) should always go on the return line. Does it have a diaphragm type fuel pump?

Ok found out wat the problem was i took thew carb apart last night around 11 and noticed a piece of plastic holding the diaphram open which held the seat oppen just enough to let abuch of gas through so i flicked the piece of trash out and boom no more leaks and i cleaned the jets and everything again so test ride tommorow or today who knows
