VX110 is a very tough craft, but 500hrs is pushing it a bit IMO (was probably a rental craft)

GP1200R is a great craft, but not really for rough water and it is a 2 stroke, and about 100hrs on a top end is about life expectancy (some go much longer if well maintained). Few problems that need to be addressed (powervalve issure, cat failures, hull inserts pull thru, ect)

    good price for the pair?

    not bad prices

get compression readings on both, peek up into the tunnel/impeller area, and look inside the hulls real close for signs of oil leakage

Go with the VX! Its basically 2 stroke v 4 stroke. Yeah the GPR has less hours but its more maintenance. As long as everything looks and rides good with the VX you should be ok. I did a lot of research before I got mine and reliability is what sold me.

yeah but i am also looking at leaving it stock and which will stay with the RXT i already have better on the 36 mile long lake we ride, the GP is closer within 2 hours and the VX is a whole day trip but a lower price and to drive 6 hours one way to find out it had back comp would piss me off too.

on the other hand the VX is a 4 stroke and will be better on gas, cheaper to run, and less maintenance but at 500+ hours its a crap shoot.
