    gp1300r 2006 mods

    hi what sort of speeds will i get out of this with these mods riva ride plate riva efi pump seal kit solas impeller aquaveine intake d plate ??? what else should i instal ??? how much to mill off the stock heads????

    Have you figured out what your speeds are right now? Get a GPS and a tach 1st. then you can chart your progress with each mod.

    hi yes got a gps with the protec nozzle and intake 67 mph but have only put the riva ride plate d plate riva efi and dynafly solas on and the pump seal kit so not tested yet how much do i mill off stock heads ???? and can any people do them that works on heads ????

    all the best places for mods is the us ere in the uk its hard to find people that do these sort of things i know a man that mills car heads so i suppose he could mill my heads but how do you know how much to take off????

    Ok to answer your question on the head-

    If all you want is to mill the head?

    When you pull it off, look at it, there is a lip on the camber- You can safely mill this lip off but don't mill into the squish angle. Doing this only raises the compression slightly so there are no huge gains there but its a great mod for the money.

    Now if you want to go all out....send the head to someone with experience in jetski performance and have the head milled and the squish angle also cut to bump the compression to at least 150lbs

    thats what im gona do is send them away to some one that knows what they are doing but i could buy the riva heads but people are steering me away from theses and saying to do the stock heads why ?????

    I don't see anything wrong with the riva heads except the ones I bought for my '06 GPR didn't give enough compression and I ended up having work done on them also.

    The stock head works well and its probably less expensive just to have it modified to what you want.

    I had a set of r&d heads with the griddle kit for $500 that gave me 138 psi i also had a stock head that could was milled to the same psi for under $100 but the r&d sure look nice under the seat... Click image for larger version.

    thanks again for great info so i think im going to do my stock head ive just got to find some one in the uk to do this work correctly and who knows what to do with it...
