    New news from R & D

I spoke with R & D, via e-mail, and asked how their progress was concerning their work with the stock ECU. Here is the quote from my rep at R & D:

"The only thing that you will need is to re-pitch your prop to utilize the new ECU programing. When that time comes, and it is coming soon, we will have you send your prop back with the ECU for re-pitching. With the retail purchase of the ECU reprograming we will re-pitch your prop at no charge. Tell a friend!!

Keep a lookout, the R&D web site should get updated this week with more SHO/FZ new products including the ECU programing, new R&D Twin Prop (working very well hooking up all our HP), new R&D steering system, and more internal engine parts"

His answer came from my question asking him if there will be any other parts needed for the ECU part (I am having their Stage II kit installed now).

Volvo penta use this setup on their sterndrives, the props spin in oposite directions from each other on one shaft, it is very very efficient, acceleration comparison to a single prop set up on a similar boat was crazy. Also increased handling. this looks interesting is it is the same.

It's a new design that makes the pump like a two stage pump to produce more thrust making the pump more efficent. I have seen some proto type parts for bigger jet pumps on large boats.
