    Unhappy hood seal

I was looking under the storage bucket on my Rxp and noticed water....the seal where the hood conmes down had come off. we put it back on with a zip tie and after a couple times of opening the hood it would pop off so we tried sinking the seal inside the flex tube and it hasn't worked either....can you guys show me what you have done to stop water from coming...I ride in rough water so I need to fix it fast ...thanks

Which part would come off, the accordion piece or the rubber stopper that comes down with the hood and blocks the top of the accordion piece? The stopper should be able move up and down that metal bar and it should be up where the L is on the metal bar. When you lower the hood that stopper will come down and seal the accordion piece. No matter what you do, you will have water in that area, especially since the air duct that's under the glove box is directed to that area.

    Greetings--

We dont ride on al that rough water, but still get water in the front compartment-- sometimes 2-3 inches after a day of spinning around ect.

I gave up-- I tried fooling with the hood latch. I tried working with the seal. I finally just drilled some small holes in the compartment's black plastic plug to let the water drain out into the hull. *shrugs*
