05-electrics work on an 06 engine?

If the front and rear covers on a 06 engine are replaced with 05 covers will the mpem ecu off an 05 work. Only asking because I think the cams are different in the two engines.

It will work...but you need to change the trigger wheel position on the crank shaft.

You'll have to pull the dowell out of the crank and reclock the trigger wheel. While your there I would upgrade to the 08 SC oil sprayer.
