sc ceramic washer identification made easy idea

I had a thought. I bought a couple used rxp's and was told that the sc has been upgraded to metal washers. I pulled the sc and really couldn't tell if they were metal or ceramic (because they might be grey ceramic washers).

Here' s my thought to test for ceramic washers without disassembling the sc. Use a ohm meter to test for resisitance on the radial edge of the clutch washer (without touching any of the metal parts). I would assume ceramic will have very high or infinite resistance. Metal of course would be less than a .01 of an ohm.

    Any input/thoughts would be appreciated.....

Ceramic's have a dull gray color, and usually a dab of green paint on one...
