    running without an intercooler?

    With this setup
    x charger
    42's
    fizzle intake
    15/20 prop
    riva grate
    thru hull exhaust.

Can i run this without an intercooler and a rrfpr? or should i just wait and buy the intercooler and rrfpr would it be worth the wait? thanks

You can run that setup with the stock intercooler but not without any intercooler at all.

When you decide to go with the after market intercooler then at the same time you will want to install the RRFPR.

If you're not going with an external intercooler, then you don't have to use a rrfpr.

If i do run it with the stock intercooler is there any disadvantages? like reliability and of course loss of power.

    stock intercooler

if you run an X supercharger with the stock intercooler in your manifold your ski will hit harder and pull harder on the bottom & mid... than if you were to use an xs type intercooler or another externally mounted intercooler.

the air from your supercharger to your intake manifold has a much shorter distance to travel than if it had to go through all the piping, intercooler and then to your manifold. the shorter the distance the air has to travel harder it will hit.

i would not think twice about useing the stock intercooler with your set-up... i have run 81mph with a stock intercooler.

By keeping the stock intercooler you are leaving 2-3 mph on the table. It can be made up elsewhere though. Ultimately it comes down to what your final goals are and what kind of budget/tuning skills you're working with.

yes. i am running the stiock ic with that set up and my ski pulls hard as hell also you could allways do erik ride plate mod and gain your 2 mph back and never loose it.by switching to the ex ic you have to do more then just the ex ic
