    Shipping a PWC Question

    So I'm active duty Navy, and just became eligible for orders out of Cleveland. My choices are Norfolk, Va (been there done that, don't really want to go back) Everett Washington (not really interested) or Pearl Harbor Hawaii (sounds nice)

    My question is, can I ship a ski and trailer to HI, How much would it cost, and is it worth it? The Navy will ship my personal vehicle, but not a "pleasure craft"

    Obviously my job and my hobby are closely related due to the fact that we are the Navy and usually hang out around the water, so I know I'll have a place to ride.

    Thanks in advacne for your help!!!

    Okay first of all, I hate you for getting to go to Hawaii...
    I've been to the Pearl Harbor area and that is going to be fun.

    About your ski, I have an idea;

    1. Sell you current vehicle and the trailer.
    2. Buy a gigantic SUV like an Expedition or something, and tint the windows.
    3. Insert the PWC inside the SUV.
    4. Ship vehicle.
    5. buy new trailer in Hawaii.

    Problem solved!

    Seriously, just buy another one when you get over there...
    you don't really want to run yours in salt water anyway.

    Well, it's not "set" that I'm going, Hell I might even get out.

    I was also thinking about getting one there, but I'd hate to have my baby sit around for 3 years without use... I do like the SUV idea...........

    You don't really want to know what a ski on a trailer would cost. Best best within the lower 48 get on ubid.com and get a quote for someone on there to tow it or put it on a flat bed to wherever you want to go. Could be quite expensive. Second sell your trailer, put your ski in a crate (get one from a dealer) call me and we can ship it to anywhere you want.
    If you want to talk call me.
