    Taxes ???

    I was wondering if you are married can you file your taxes separate from your wife

    Why would you want to? You get a marriage credit.

    Yes, you can. Check box 3 "married filing seperately".

    The rub comes if you itemize deductions. You can split the deduction or if one takes it the other can not get the standard deduct.

    Freakin taxes. I can not believe how much the government is taking from me.
    It seems to not pay off to make more money as the more i make the more they take.

    That is what my father and I were discussing last night, as where this is heading.

    I just dont get the percentage they are getting already from my wages.
    Then whenever i get a Bonus or Gift the amount the government gets is ridiculous.

    Its like we are punnished for the effort we put out to earn more thru wages and to recieve a bonus.

    Dont get me wrong, we are fortunate to live where we do, but to take from those that work hard for a living, take more from that person, and let those that do not contribute slide thru the system is wrong.

    Sorry guys to be complaining but every year at this time, when I see the real numbers it is depressing.

    For many of us, starting a small business has
    been the only real solution... it does have benefits.
