Length of 98-99 GP1200 Ride Plate

Can some1 please do me a favor and measure the length of there oem rideplate on a 98 or 99 GP1200. I have the Riva Plate on and it measures 10.5 inches and I want to see if the stock plate is shorter to better jump waves with. Thanks in advance.....

The stock ride plate is the same length 10.5 inches. The only difference between the riva and the stock OEM is the grooves. The stock grooves are the same depth the full length of the plate. I use the riva plate with 3 stainless washers on the rear bolts

I think the shredmaster is the only plate that is longer than stock. Here is the link:

There are two riva plates, a short one and a long one. There is also two stock plates. One on 97 (long) and one on 98-99 (short)

There is a GP riva plate for sale in the classified, it is a long one. Not sure on the measurements of it but it would be comparible to OE long plate.

Actually most are longer than the short OE plate
Most are about the same as the long OE plate

The short OEM plate makes the ski porpoise, I prefer the R&D and longer Riva plate much better handling and speed form these.

Going to be using the ski to jump waves. This is my 7th GP. I always had the stock ride plate left in and only 1 time did i have the rideplate inserts strip out and crack due to excessive wavejumping and landing. I always figured that with the shorter rideplate it wont take too much pounding when landing and would alleviate stress off the back of the ski. Do you guys agree with this assumption or do you think its ok to jump and land continously on a long rideplate?
